Foolishness of the Cross

Apart from the Holy Spirit, people cannot come to faith. Everything about Jesus and God’s story of salvation looks like foolishness. It’s backward and counter-intuitive from the world’s perspective. But when the Holy Spirit moves upon the human heart, the power of the cross takes root in our formerly foolish souls and we cling to Christ in faith. We receive the power of God for salvation of our soul.
