Death: Beginning to End

March 1, 2020 Series: Lent

Topic: Faith Passage: Genesis 3:1–21, Romans 5:12–19, Matthew 4:1–11

“Don’t touch that; it’s hot!  You’ll burn yourself!”  Do you remember hearing that when you were little?  Perhaps you said the same thing to your kids or have given a similar warning to someone else.  Why do we do that?  We do it for their own good – to protect them from harm or some other consequence.  That is what God did for Adam and Eve in the Garden, but they chose not to listen.  Now we all live with the consequence . . . sin, leading to death.  We cannot make our way out of this dilemma.  But God, in His grace and love, has provided the way.
