October 25, 2020 Series: Reformation

Topic: Faith Passage: Revelation 14:6–7, Romans 3:19–28, John 8:31–38

On the Eve of All Saints (October 31) in 1517, an Augustinian monk and professor at the University of Wittenberg nailed on the church door "95 Theses for Disputation on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences".  It marked the start of the "Lutheran Reformation", the greatest development in human history since Jesus walked the earth.  Martin Luther's preaching and publications can be summarized:  "Sola Scriptura" (Scripture alone is the source of Truth); "Sola Gratia" (by God's undeserved grace alone we are saved); and "Sola Fides" (faith alone, not our work, receives Christ's redeeming work).  May "Christ Alone" bless your worship on this "Reformation Sunday".
