Jesus Appears... in 15 minutes!
Series: End Times.... Passage: Amos 5:18–24, 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18, Matthew 25:1–13
The last three Sundays on the church calendar are informally called "Endtime". In November we always focus on the themes of Christ's appearing on the Last Day, the resurrection of all flesh, and the final judgment. Today the specific focus is . . . preparation! Amos 5 tells us that the end will, sadly, not be what many expect. However for those with Christ, Thessalonians 4 tells us that it will be a glorious reunion with all the faithful. Jesus warns us therefore in Matthew 25 to have "oil in the lamp" - repentance and expectant faith that knows He could appear . . . now!
