If we use the bulletin format of Advent Wednesdays, we won't need a "Theme" paragraph. We are using the bulletins and some of the content from the fourth service, since we purchased it and did not need it with only three Wednesdays for worship last month. So the theme is "Prepare Ye" (using the bulletins and PowerPoint graphics purchased, but with the Communion liturgy at 8:30 and Ignite's regular format at 11:00), and the focus is "Proclaim". The assigned readings for the "Second Sunday after Christmas" will, with one change, connect to this theme. In general, we'll emphasize what happens in Scripture after Jesus's birth . . . People proclaimed it!!! Ignite songs about proclaiming Jesus with words and deeds are fitting. Christmas carols are fine too! (We're singing "Go Tell It on the Mountain" at 8:30.)
