Invisible? ... Indispensable!

January 17, 2021 Series: Epiphany: Wise Men Still Seek Him

Topic: Faith Passage: Psalm 139:1–10, 1 Samuel 3:1–10, 1 Corinthians 6:12–20, John 1:43–51

God calls us in Christ with His forgiving grace and empowering commission to serve Him and others . . . and He calls us individually and personally, each and every one of us!  But He had to summon Samuel by name four times before His call was really heard.  Jesus had to overcome Nathanael's reticence (even an insult!) when he was called to follow the Savior.  Psalm 139, appointed for worship today even we mark "Sanctity of Human Life Sunday", may be the most "pro-life" section of Scripture, and with the psalmist we say today, "Yahweh, You have known me!  You search out my path!  Where shall I flee from Your presence?  In Your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me when as yet there was none of them."  Listen!  God is calling!
