How many fundamental truths from God are confirmed at Christ's transfiguration!!!  Of course there is clearly shown the identity of the Savior - truly God as divine light shines from Him who is also truly human.  The presence of Moses and Elijah proclaims Jesus as the fulfillment of all prophecy (and also life after death!).  Luke's account tells us they were talking about Christ's "departure" - Jesus completing our salvation with His crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension.  Even our pervasive sin is seen in the terror and ignorance of the disciples.  So what does "The Transfiguration of Our Lord" mean for you?
