The Word Develops Spiritual Gifts (Contemporary Service)

God doesn’t need me to be someone else to use me. I am God’s masterpiece, specifically made to live out God’s calling for my life through my passions and gifts. When I am anchored it God’s Word, I discover how He has gifted me and how the Holy Spirit leads me to use these gifts.
o Law: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought. It’s easy for us to compare our gifts to others or think that we are the source of our gifts.
o Application: We are in Christ; He is our head. We, the body, simply get to respond to His leading.
o Gospel: In the Calling of Matthew we see Christ has come for the sick and the sinners.

o Psalm 119: 65-72 – “Teach me knowledge and good judgement, for I believe in your commands”
o Romans 12: 3-8 – “One body with many members”
