Whose Kingdom Is It?

In this three-part series, we are treated to parables of Jesus that teach us about the Kingdom of God. Two of the three are introduced with the words, “The Kingdom of God is like…” A common theme includes the realization of God’s mysterious and providential ways in gathering people in. We are clearly called to sow seeds, to work the fields, and to be the Lord’s precious treasure. But we cannot determine the final results of the Almighty’s mission in our world. We are reminded of the prayer our Lord has taught us: “Thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven.” Our gratitude and our mission line up behind this prayer.
