Jesus Invites Us to a New Birth

Jesus uses baptismal language – water and spirit – to describe the new birth that he talks about. In baptism He appropriates to us this new birth won in his death and resurrection. The invitation is to believe, be baptized, and live out that baptism as a child of God.
