[1] Law: Twofold… Reality of large numbers of people who, like “sheep without a shepherd,” need the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Also a reality that there are not enough workers; not enough disciples of Jesus for the task. For these realities we pray. Gospel: There is healing (in every sense) in the name and in the ministry of Jesus, in whom we are sent. “Freely you have received; freely give.” Application? Look at the directives of Jesus: Ask [the Lord of the harvest], proclaim [this message], heal/raise/cleanse/drive out.
