Do we seek peace on earth at all costs? The sword cuts through our notions of earthly glory, reminding us that we must die with Christ, and thus die to our sin, in order to live with him. That dying and rising may put us at odds with our former priorities and values, and even family. But in dying and rising with Christ, we find true and eternal life.
