God calls Jacob and his family to journey back to the land God has promised them. Far from a great role model, Jacob has been running away and deceiving those around him for his whole life. Now, before he reckons with his estranged brother Esau, he reckons with God. The outcome is that he is humbled and he can no longer run, but he goes on to lead his family with the blessing of God.
