The nine days between “The Ascension of Our Lord” (last Thursday) and the feast of Pentecost (next Sunday) have been called “The Great Novena” (“novem” is Latin for “nine”).  It’s a time of focused prayer for Christians, even before the first Pentecost, as we hear today from Acts 1.  See the “WOW” (Word on Worship) inside this bulletin.  Today, our special focus springs from 1 John 5:11:  “This is the testimony – that God gave us eternal life . . . And this life is in His Son!”  Our series climaxes this season indeed as we hear that “Easter Means . . . Eternity!”
