"Shepherd Sunday" is always in the springtime – the Fourth Sunday of Easter. But we have another "Shepherd Sunday" today! Jeremiah 23 is a classic warning, 600 years before Christ's birth, to unfaithful shepherds. Mark 6:34 reveals the heart of Jesus as the perfect compassionate Shepherd. And, of course, we hear Psalm 23 today . . . though we hear some of its familiar words in a new way!
