My Tears in Your Bottle

July 25, 2021 Series: Psalms

Topic: Faith Passage: Acts 11:27– 12:5, Romans 8:28–39, Mark 10:35–45

Yes, the long six-month Pentecost Season can be monotonous ("Eighth Sunday after Pentecost", "Ninth Sunday after Pentecost", etc.).  But we get a break today because of the church calendar!  On July 25 we mark "Saint James the Elder, Apostle".  It's the special day we thank God and look at the example of this brother of John, the elder son of Zebedee, one of Jesus's original "Twelve".  His martyrdom is the only death of an apostle recorded in Scripture, and what the Bible says about him can teach us about Christ's grace and guidance as we also follow the Savior . . . even unto death!
